went to this exhibit a few weeks ago. for someone who sees (or tries to) art and beauty in everyday mundane things, down to tile flooring--this was a real treat.
and though i was mesmerized to see "starry night" in the flesh (how annoying that the song "Vincent" was playing in my head while studying it), it was a lesser-known artist that caught my eye more.
Pierre Bonnard's works were just amazing. His almost unfinished technique leaves you wanting for more, and the colors make the eyes relax and play at the same time.
