i was able to watch rogers and hammerstein's cinderella with my family in manila. cinderella had always been my favorite disney cartoon and fairy tale, so i was pretty thrilled to see it on stage. starred by the legendary ms. salonga, no less.
the performance was fantastic. sure, it's mainly for kids but i did feel like i reverted back to being one the whole time we were watching. we'd been lucky enough to sit 3 rows from the stage (because of late entrance!) so it was really cool.
and can i just say, lea salonga is just NOT capable of ageing at all! she still looked like the diminutive 17-year old ms. saigon. i'm no hard core fan, but the passion and vibrance she exudes (not to mention the voice) when you watch her makes it all worth the time and money.

my college girl friends asked me to help them put the group up in multiply. lea salonga is a member and we just finished our cinderella review contest wherein lea herself picked the winner.
