climbing the beanstalk

saturday morning, we found ourselves stumped thinking of what to do. the computer fair we have planned to go to was not going to be in canberra till the next weekend.
one look at each other and we immediately knew what to do:

rockclimbing! and im so so glad we did. it’s something we’ve been wanting to do together since i came here to canberra, but we just never had the time. we used to do this a lot when we were in malaysia until our hands were all blistered. and it’s been like 3 years since i haven’t climbed so i was abit scared that my climbing mojo’s were gone.

but im glad it’s still there.

and i’ve still got a bit of that clinging power. yay!

i wish we’d started this earlier, because now we’ve only got 2 weeks left before we leave for our holiday! i really love the thrill of going higher and higher. (i always imagine there’s a snapping crocodile running after me)–yes incorporate real life drama why not.

it was a goood good saturday. we loved it so much and vowed to climb regularly that we got our own harnesses, chalk and carabiners. we might take it with us when we leave, i know its a silly idea because who’s got the time to climb when you’re on a holiday?
