Don't Let This Happen to You

Zk and I met up for lunch break today. We went to this little cafe near his building. It smelled and looked yummylicious. Plus we were so hungry, a can of worms would have been appetizing.
Anyhow, we ordered this and that and a little bit of that one as well, oh and some of this as well.
Now..paytime. We don't carry a lot of cash, because we were (wrongly!) confident that almost every establishment in Canberra caters to card holders. (Both credit and eftpos)

"Noh! No card. Cash only!"

Those were the hefty lady's greetings when Zk flashed his card. She told us we could go to the nearest bank (which was 3 blocks away!) to withdraw money. There were several people lining up behind us--all in a hurry because it was lunch hour, and this particular cafe is for working people.
The next thing we did is such a common hollywood scene, that its almost cliche--both of us fished out of our wallets, pockets, trousers, under garment--every crumpled bill and cent that we have.
And what have you--we just had ENOUGH! the bill was 13.30 and we had exactly 13.30 in our pockets (both clothing and bodily)!

Now this real life tragedy is something we could all learn from. Carry Cash! But who carries cash nowadays? I mean, its so much more convenient to just have plastic with you.
