Transformers--both robots and human.

Whee! We just watched "Transformers" the movie tonight. And for one who doesn't like unrealistic movies--this one is quite good! While all the guys fell for Megan Fox (whose last name suits her face because she really does look foxy), I fell for Bumblebee. Yeah, I have a crush on a yellow car.

It was a night of good movie and good food. After the movie, we went to have dinner at

The last time we both ate there was last year, with our mothers, when we had our civil wedding. Food was still as yummy--he had a slab of juicy (and bloody) hickory smoke steak, and I a calamari salad. We had a deliciously rich and evil mudslide for dessert.

Later on, betwixt us both, with the exception of a few chocolatey globs--we licked the platter clean.

While we're on the topic of transformers, here's someone who's had a few transformations herself. I don't really have a recent photo showing how annoyingly long my hair had grown. But let me just tell you it was long enough to almost make Sadako insecure. Just over Friday and Saturday, the journey of my shrinking hair:

Friday night after the 1st cut

Friday night still. Few hours later. Not very happy with the cut. Contemplating.

Next day, I got my free second hair cut.

So do I finally like it? I don't know. It feels much lighter, cooler (I couldn't wait till summer to get a short hair cut). I wanted to have something real short (Twiggy-short!) but I'm too chicken. I'll decide after several days if I love it. All I know is it feels much better! It's just hair after all. It will always grow. So I'll just have dessert while I mull over it.

I made my ultimate favorite dessert when I was a kid--fruit ice box cake--(shown being devoured by moi above). It's so refreshing! And no baking! :)

You just need:

This bread/biscuit we call 'broas'. I found its equivalent here in Oz by the name of "lady fingers".
Fruit Cocktail
Cream
Condensed Milk

Line the bottom layer of the baking pan with the lady fingers. (you can also use graham crackers). Pour mixture of cream, drained fruit cocktail, and condensed milk (just a little to taste). Finally, place another layer of lady fingers on top. Chill or freeze (depending how you want it) for 3-5 hours.

Meantime, Zk is busy with his new toy. --A DVD player.
While I am waiting for the arrival of my own toy. Soon...sooooooon!
